We are still looking for accommodation in NY for the first 6 or so days before we move on to Boston to pick up the RV, can anyone suggest where might be a good area to look for BUDGET accommodation as I don't think we can afford Manhattan hotel prices!

Tickets for that game are looking like $150+ for mezzanine seating

I think we're going to go to the Knicks game anyway as we can get half decent seats for $60.

I have found tickets to Rangers v Islanders on the 3rd at Nassau Coliseum for a cheaper amount, so I may go to that which means we get to see 2 different stadiums

Oh yeah, we've booked our first 2 nights accommodation as well

WE'VE ARRIVED!!! Got here this afternoon, just settled into the hotel, had a look around times square and grabbed a bite to eat.

Just looked over your trip details but noticed one little thing and I would like to suggest an alternate route.

Take the road closest to the Pacific. (California State Route 1) ... best road ever. Mainly from San Luis Obispo area to Monterey. Gorgeous views.
