Event: Wake The Dragon 2008
What: The Dragon, the sickest road on earth.
Who: NY Metro, and many other s2k clubs from around the country.
When: a 4 day event from Thursday april 17th through Sunday April 20th.
This thread will be deticated to the NY Metro crew, to organize our convoy down, and to help with hotel booking and answer questions.
There's lots of new blood around here, so stay tuned for full info and updates.
Check it out, think about it, clear the time with work, THEN post if you are in.
Last year 15 people said thet were going and it turned out two be 2.
But no matter, I'm going, and so are 250+ s2ks from all over the country

Halfway Hotel in Virginia:
Call the hotel, and book the nights of Thursday, April 17th and Sunday April 20th.
IF YOU ARE A NUTJOB, AND PLAN TO MAKE THE 13HR RETURN TRIP IN ONE SHOT
then only book Thursday the 17th.

Teaser pics....note in the first pic, the 90 degree banked turn. Imediately after is another 90 degree banked turn. The whole road is like this for 10 miles and over 300 turns!

ugh, i would LOVE to go, i have to pull some strings at work though. ill see what i can do, i dont want to say im definate but after being a member on this board for over 2 years all i ever hear about is how good the Dragon is. I think its about time i attend this event!

13 hrs from my house, less for you.
We'll leave Queens Thursday around 7pm, and drive till 11:30PM (Hotel just over the VA border)
We'll then have a good breakfast Friday morning and then bring the convoy down to the NC/TN border where the event is centralized.
For me, this is the most fun I have ever had in my s2k, and it will be my 5th Wake The Draogon event.
We'll leave Queens Thursday around 7pm, and drive till 11:30PM (Hotel just over the VA border)

the dragon is awesome. i went in november with some team integra people. its an amazing road and a lot of fun, not to mention a weekend of partying and hanging out.
the only reason i wouldnt go back is the 13 hr drive each way.
