Flashing CEL

Flashing CEL
Hello, looking for some help/guidance. My car is 2002, all stock with 66k miles. I owned it for about a year and it has run great until today.
I drove this morning to work with no issues. As I turn on my car to go home, it starts and idles normal. About 20 seconds later, idle feels rough and engine sounds and feels like it is rumbling and I get a flashing CEL. All I could do for now is check oil level (2 diamonds above L). I am in the process of getting a scan tool to pull code(s).
Is there anything in particular I should be looking at?

A flashing check engine light is no joke IIRC.
