Improptu Day or Night Runs
Now that the weather is finally getting better, I know there are lots of you -just like me- who will look for any excuse to take the car out for a nice long ride.
If the weather is right and my wife & I end up having a free night, we have no problem hopping in the s2k and driving from Nutley NJ, all the way to Warwick NY to grab a burger and some beers at our favorite spot (Yesterday's = Best burgers ever), just to have an excuse to blast through the twisty mountain roads of Route 17 that run through Sterling Forest, Tuxedo & Warwick.
Or sometimes, we'll wake up super-early in the morning, hop on the Palisades Parkway, and hop off in some random town, just to grab a nice breakfast, turn around and drive all the way back home.
There have been several times where I'll see another S2K, or some times a single S2K with a group of other cars, who I bet are also just out having fun early in the morning while the roads are still empty.
I figured rather than hijack the Bear Mtn thread, or any other thread, I'd start a new one, just for people to post on if they suddenly decide to go on an early-morning or late-night run, in case someone would like to join them. Maybe some of you know of some good driving-roads you'd like to share.
