Nothing will stop a thief who is fast with a tow truck except:

-A garage

OR

A permanent ground anchor, and a monster chain around the rear subframe, chaining the car to the ground. I have some clients using this method with confidence.

For a fee, i will build and install an anchor for you for Suffolk county residents.

Those ground anchors really do work.

I used to rent out an over-sized 2 car garage. I used one side to park/work on my 67 firebird, and a friend of mine used to rent out the other side to keep a bunch of computer equipment (owned an Internet cafe, back when that was a thing), and his Yamaha R1 chained to the ground.

The garage was broken into one night. Pretty sure they wanted the bike, not my car. They were so upset they couldn't get the bike that was chained down, they destroyed a bunch of his equipment out of spite.

THANK GOD they didn't mess with my car.

Oh yeah... they also stole a set of expensive custom made Dayton spoked rims with gold flakes that another friend of mine was going to put on his bouncing low rider 66 impala.

I keep.mine in a garage but i put one of those wheel clamps on and i have a chain with a hook on one end that i hook under the brake pedal and pull the chain up and loop it through the bottom of the steering wheel and lock it on. Cant slide the hook off, cant use the brakes, cant tow it because of the wheel clamp.

Wheel clamp cannot stop a flatbed.
