K-Rod is a coup for the Mets. All things being equal to last season, this move will launch the Mets to the World Series.
i hope you're right mike, but they need a few more pieces to their pitching staff to make them a playoff team.

Yeah like two starters and a setup guy, then a real second baseman and a whim and a prayer that Delgado plays like he wants a contract next year.

Ughhh said like that I should cancel my ticket order for '09.

lets hope delgado comes in how he left off.

i like the fact that jerry manuel will have a whole spring training and full season to work the mets into a championship team.

there is no way the mets can not get into the playoffs this year.

their team is STACKED.

lets see what happens in the weeks to come.

Lets go METS baby

the mets have to make the playoffs this yr after the past 2 bullshit seasons, a new stadium and an all star line up that isnt complete yet.

nice, i just dont like losing joe smith. hes good and hes young, but putz is better and a set up man. smith isnt really a set up man at this stage in his career. im glad heilman is gone and we can live without endy as long as we dont have alou in the outfield and on the dl. we will miss his amazing defense, but another backup outfielder was acquired in the trade. overall i like the move.

Yeah I just saw Smith in it this morning, he wasnt listed last night. Personally I would've rather swapped Heilman and Feliciano for Street with the Rocks but hey I'm not the GM. LOL

I havent checked this new Sean Greens #'s but if he can compete for the 5 spot (is he even a starter?) then its a good trade. Worse case scenario we have a stud 8th and 9th inning and a new Jew for you to route for Barry. HAHAHAHAHA

"Green, who is 9-7 with a 4.32 ERA in 160 relief appearances over the last three seasons. Green went 4-5 with a save and a 4.67 ERA in 72 appearances last season."

lol yea man i used to root for shawn green cause he was my jewish boy.
