My 1st Thread = Review on Billman250

After a long search for a clean, unmolested S2000, I finally found my car...a 2006 S2000 in Sebring Silver with only 31,XXX miles.

I purchased it in late November and took full advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we had for the most part of December and drove it every chance I had. I quickly realized just how noisy the engine and transmission was on these cars. Since the car was in such great condition and I knew these cars were so reliable, I just assumed everything I was hearing was normal.

I had put approximately 900 miles on it, before I took it to Billman250 to have him give it his "Once-Over". All I can say is Holy Sh**, what a difference. This is no placebo effect I am experiencing....I feel like I am in a brand new car- The engine now purrs like a kitten.

Billman250's custom timing chain tensioner completely eliminated the "tapping/ticking" sound my car was making, especially at warm-up.

I am almost certain that the better gas-mileage I've been getting recently, is due to him popping off the valve cover and adjusting all the valves.

I can go on and on about how crisp the throttle now feels...how whatever he did to the clutch pedal, now makes the car shift smoother and eliminated the occasional 2nd gear "crunch" I was getting...but the point I want to make is- if you're considering having him work on your car, just do it. You won't regret it.

I live in New Jersey and it took me 2 hours and 10 minutes to get to his shop. It would've still been worth the trip even if it took me 12 hours. I know there are people here who have driven even farther than that to have him work on their car...now I know why!

just curious, how much did you pay for the 2006? I'm asking because I am the proud owner of a '06 with just around 33K miles too....curious what the market value is....
and I do plan on bringing this over to Billman once service is due.

I paid 20. Pretty sure I can turn around and get 25 for it.

Friend of mine asks me how my car is doing. I ask, the Honda? He says yeah. I think about it for a short while and respond, I haven't had any issues in two years... And all that was needed two years ago was some simple routine maintenance.

THANKS BILL!!!
