I'm from Connecticut so I'm not absolutely sure. But unless something has recently changed, in Connecticut you need to pay your fines in cash. If you don't have cash, or enough cash, they will usually continue the case to a later date, but that means you need to come back. Call the clerk's office and they will tell you.
