Default New rotors and pads arrived with my super blue!

Hi guys,

Since I’m about to use aftermarket brake parts to upgrade my S, I wanted to share. Rotors, pads and fluid is going to be changed out.

Rotors by Cquence Performance. They have a 1 year warranty on warping and are much better quality than the rotors I have now. Cquence told me that they would not warp on the track or street and would take the heat with ease. We shall see…I chose the premium line of rotors.

Pads – Centric PosiQuiet semi-metallic pads.. The organic pads I have on the car now (AutoZone) wore unevenly and I’m pretty sure they are the reason my current rotors are warped out. I was gonna get Hawk pads, but the reviews were so mixed I went somewhere else.

ATE Super Blue – no explanation needed here. Going to gravity bleed the brakes and the clutch out.

Ill report back after some time as to how this setup works…

the biggest issue with cross drilled rotors is cracking. i've seen really expensive ones crack after a track day. i hope that is covered under their warranty too if you plan to do any track days.

The rotors are fully warrantied for a year against warping and cracking according to their site.. id like to do an autox soon so hopefully ill be able to test them out for real..

AutoX doesn't generate anywhere near the heat/abuse that repeated hot laps on a track will so you shouldn't have any problems.

From Clyde, he does 10 minutes if driving around the paddock / pits after a track session, never cracked a rotor. Cool-down laps are used for this too, try to not use the brakes during cool-down laps.

And of course, no e-brake.

NEVER EVER USE THE E-BRAKE and make sure you tell any instructor driving your car the same. You would think they would know this but not all do.

I really like the Cquence site, if not for the rotors for all the educational info on brake systems. Its part of the reason I decided to give them a shot. Most sites have a small description and are warehouses for this aftermarket stuff stocking 1000 different brands and 10000 mixed reviews. I also like how you can chose your custom drill and slot pattern...

Centric is probably the best aftermarket brake manufacturer at the moment, use them all day everyday at work with a sub 5% comeback rate.

Good choice and good luck!
