This is very true. Doing it yourself would take about 30 minutes all said and done. Driving it, waiting etc would most likely be a couple of hours.

knock off another 5 minutes if you have fomoto valve.

I don't have a floor jack or jack stands. They were left in a storage room of an old condo when I moved into a new house. By the time I went back for them, they were gone.

So right now, its easier for me to just go some place and get it done. I've been planning on getting a new floor jack / jack stands for a while now...just never get around to it.

I commute from Nutley to Queens NY for work, I have a 6yr old daughter, and I'm in the middle of restoring a 120yr old Victorian. I barely have time to drive my car.

Jiffy Lube here drives over a pit -- car stays on solid pavement all the time. Not sure the clearance though. Take your own oil and filter. Work this out with the manager days before hand. Expect it to cost more than the oil change minus oil and filter as I'm guessing much of their profit comes from those.
