The reaction of the student body speaks volumes as to how detached and irresponsible young people are in general. Paterno and everyone involved should be locked up. Penn State isn’t much of a school at all… all it ever had and ever will have is a football team.

Reading the responses from friends who go to Penn State and then comparing it to other friends who don't go to the school, I have found a big disconnect between their 'reality' and everyone else. I have visited the campus on many occasions for non-PS related reasons and found the place to be so centered around football it was scary. I would be embarrassed if my school turned over cars and rioted because of this, but people in large groups bring out the worst in our species.

There are tons of towns (not only schools) all accross this country that are all about their local high school or college team. It is sad when people can be blinded by it. Speaking as a true die hard football fan I can relate to the love of the game or a team but if Shotty was found dancing around the shower room with a under aged kid naked and Rex or Woody didn't do anything about it .. I would seriosly be angry and upset with the Jets organization. As a fan I would feel they owe me the respect to always carry themselves well and do what is right and the last thing I would do is defend them in a situation like this.
