Default Possible future owner with some questions

Hello everyone!

I believe this is my first time posting in the metro section but that's because I might actually be an owner pretty soon! I've been wanting an s2000 for the last 2 years and it's still unreal to me that I might actually own my realistic dream car soon.

Anyways the car I'll be checking out, the owner said there is a pretty big tear in the top (it's a my00) but I believe the window is still ok. Now I'm from Queens and before I decide to purchase the car, i wanted to know where would be the best shop to go to for like patching up the top or even replacing it with a glass top. Also how much am I looking at if I need to patch up a pretty big tear?

Second question is he said the car needs an alignment, and it pulls a little to the right. where would be a good alignment shop that most of you guys visit that do a good job? could it be something else that's causing the car to pull to one side that i should be worried about?

Besides these the car seems to be in good shape but I'm gona go ahead and check it out soon...but these are good things to keep in mind for the future even if i don't end up with this car so I'd greatly appreciate all the help! Thanks!

I would just replace the top with a glass conversion one. You guy buy an EZ-ON top for like 450 shipped or so and there is someone down in NJ that will do the install for like 400-450 or so.
Best deal on a new top installed I think.

you know Deitch, if someone has an opinion of someone, they usually keep it to themselves.

You seem to keep taking public stabs at me for no apparent reason.

Maybe nick is better that me, but as far as decent human beings go, your loosing points.

that's pretty low..if you have your own opinions on someone it's best to probably pm the OP rather than display it in public like this

anyways to the OP...if you're looking for a softtop replacement...Billman's taken apart s2k's and put them back together more than probably he could ever remember...the trip is rather long but well worth it to know the car is being taken care of by a professional

To stay ON topic, I've done many s2k tops. To go to glass, a few mods would need to be made to the frame.

Alignment is also no problem.

Thanks to orangebarius and all the guys on here that have kept it good.

i think its more of a shot at nick then bill, even though it doesnt look that way. nick and deech fight like little girls on here. they're going to get married soon. i dont think deech has a problem with bill. there is no reason to.
