Default Reducing Drone

Alright so currently I have a J's Racing 70rs on my car along with a Berk test pipe. I love the sound and all, but the drone is slowly starting to annoy me. My question is, will a resonated test pipe help with this, or make it worse? Just looking to get multiple opinions before I make a purchase. I think it's either this, or sell the exhaust and move to something quieter with similar quality... thanks!!

wrapping the entire exhaust system in header wrap helps a tiny bit.

I had the 60rs with a berk hfc and it droned a bit at first and got worse with time. From my knowledge the TP eliminates most of the drone since there is no insulation aka packing in it vs an hfc so if you resonate it I'm pretty sure it will get worse .. I had mine for 3 years and got tired of the drone so replaced it with a Tanabe Touring and side by side the Tanabe is a nicer piece with better welds. I have no drone now and a slighty deeper growl than stock and couldnt be happier.

That's actually the exhaust i'm thinking about! Unfortunately, I've never heard it in person, but no one has said anything bad about it. And it's 60mm not 70mm, so i'd have to buy the matching test pipe for it. As for the resonated test pipe, i don't think it's packed in like a CAT is, i believe the inside looks like a resonator; you can see straight through it.

I have it with an hfc.. Just think of an oem exhaust with a deeper growl cause thats exactly what it is. I havent heard my engine in about 4 years cause the js exhaust was so much louder but now I can hear my engine loud and clear and high way drives are droneless as well. This is my 4th exhaust on my car and its my favorite and only droneless one so far. One of my friends went for a ride in my car recently and he said he forgot how quiet an s2k can be lol he has an ap1 with a js 70RS single and its super loud but in a good way. If you don't want drone and alot of noise the Tanabe touring is your best best at an affordable price range. The other droneless exhaust I have listened to is the Mugen but youre talking about a $2000 system there while the tanabe can be had for about $750 but thats up to you.

Yes I do my neighbor had it on his ap1 and it is quieter than your j's but drones as well so wont help your situation. The tanabe and greddy look very similar when you look at the car from behind except the tanabe won't have the titanium tips
