Default Reputable mechanic near North NJ

In the process of purchasing an S2K and know I'll need to do 30k service and replace brake rotors and pads. The car will be in West New York, NJ, does anyone know any competent shops in the area that work on S2K's? Thanks in advance.

AZP Installs in Kenilworth was my go to shop when I had an STi for all my maintenance needs. They should be able to care of the basics for you although they aren't the local go to shop for S2Ks. I would actually recommend making a visit to Billman in NY and have him give the car his once over and do the TCT while you're there.

Billman250 is the best. Send him a pm and make the trip to Long Island. Get the best service and peace of mind.

I agree with everyone else- Just make a day-trip out of it and take it to Billman. I'm also in NJ (Nutley). It was 100 miles each way, but totally worth it.

Thanks for the advice - will check with Billman, but trying to get the work done before July 20th and not sure I'll be able to get on his schedule. Seems like a busy man based on his thread here!

What exactly is involved in the 30k service? I can do brakes for you no problem. Actually, I'll prob be doing brakes on my car this weekend. I'm located in Roselle Park...1 mile from AZP installs.

BTW Tim: What color is your car? Silver? I'm in Nutley often and I think I've seen you driving around? I have a Suzuka Blue AP1.

believe it's transmission fluid flush, diff fluid flush, brake fluid flush, oil change and valve adjustment

Ok. Figured as much. I've done all of those except for the valve adjustment.

Well first you cant just say at 30K you need this, every car is different and also how you drive it. If you never changed the transmission and diff fluid, that's a must for sure.

But like brakes for me, dont last like the normal person. every year and half I'm doing brakes.
