Hi All,

I live in Nassau County and got a huge chip in the windshield of my AP1 yesterday and want to replace the glass. The car is a model year 2000 AP1 with just over 30k miles. Can anyone recommend a good shop that will take proper care and do this repair well? Would prefer to use an OEM replacement from Honda if possible.

I have a place that I used, but it's in the Bronx

Most insurances won't do OEM glass, mine did.

If you pay out of pocket for OEM glass, your looking at about 1000 bucks

I actually got a chip in my windshield last year and had it replaced by Safelite in Levittown/ Bethpage. It was fully covered by insurance and i made sure the OEM glass was ordered. The guy who took care of the replacement actually worked on S2000's himself as he was once an owner so i felt pretty confident and in the end everything worked out fine. Can't remember the guys name tho :/

Anyone know if pitting in the windshield is repairable? Or is replacing the entire piece my only option?

Thank you Chongoh! Does anyone out there have experience with Competition Auto Glass in Port Washington? My mechanic recommended them and I know the guy who owns the place. Went to high school with him.
