Scratched my car - Can anyone suggest a repair shop/person?
Well it finally happened. After a year+ of being careful and doing the right thing, I made a mistake. I was so psyched at being able to go top down yesterday, that when I got home, I didn't notice a plastic garbage can was sticking out a little into the driveway. When I backed in, the car hit and the damage was done - a couple of scratches down to the primer but very thin.
I am probably going to do this repair myself, which means prep, paint, wet sand, compound, and polish - big job, and I'm not a pro. If anyone knows someone who would treat my car as their own and make this thing disappear, I would consider it. Here are some close-ups of the damage.

Sorry for your pain. I can suggest a good body shop in Huntington that can take care of that. PM me for details. He will work with cash so he can hook you up. Jeff

Well.......your damage is much less severe than mine was, and mine got fixed perfectly.
Again, without ANY hesitation, recommend.....
Advanced Auto Colission 123 Jericho Turnpike in Floral Park....
Phone number is 516 488-5222......ask for Charlie.
As far as doing it yourself.......thats a big HEEEEEEEELLLLL NO!
Unless you are a pro, and you have a spray booth and use DuPont paint, you will 100% screw up your car.....not worth it.
Before......(worse than it looks)
After:
While you are at it....paint the piece between the exaust....

Thanks for the pictures NFRs2000NYC its always better to get a referral from a fellow S2K owner. BTW: I like the painted rear valence on your car looks good
I'd like to do that with my car also.
