People remember the situation. He was visiting from out of town. I'm sure not being local, with his normal resources available to him and not knowing anything about anything around here played roles in the decision making factor. I don't know that he's covered by NYS law since the incident happened in NJ, and I'm guessing his car is registered in Michigan.
GTR - It's truly unfortunate what's happened. Hopefully your insurance company and their inspector will go to bat for you.

Well the insurance guys stood up for me so the autobody is now putting new seats.Hope they do it right this time.

yeh, you really got to be careful where you send your car, just because it seems decent dont mean S***, i got the oil changed in a previous car i owned and they put oil in my break fluid and destoryed my whole break system, lesson learned ..

Where was this? so I can remember never to go there. Closest I've had to that was a jiffylube type place that put oil in my coolant tank. (not on my S2000 thankfully)

that sucks man im sorry to hear that, my s was vandalized too early novmeber and i know what its like to deal with bs insurance people. What insurance company do you have? also you should not have to go to anyshop like everyone else has been saying. And btw one of your first problems was going to a bodyshop in jersey city. those are probably my seats in your car haha. i hope it all works out for you. keep us updated on whats going on
