Default ShelterLogic for my S

Hi guys,

Just wanted to get an opinion from the metro guys on a car shelter I want to buy. I don’t have a garage, just a driveway area at my house. I’ve got acorns falling on the car from wicked high 150 year old trees. Right now I have two car covers on the car after I came out and became enraged at a ding on the fender, CR spoiler and trunk from acorns. That was with just the one cover on, I’m hoping 2 covers will help until I pick up a car tent at home depot.

This is the one I can afford, it seems the S will fit based on the dimensions of the car which are 5.75 x 14 . Don’t go by the pic on the site, it’s not the 10x16x8 I am going to get.

I cannot afford a $250 per month storage bin for 4 to 5 months this winter. The round design should keep snowfall from being a problem im assuming by the reviews I read..Any thoughts?

It's worth a shot. My concern would be the wind picking it up and moving it, causing more damage than the acorns would have. Properly secured though and you should have no issues.

Sand bags? I see people use tie-down straps and weights of any kind too.

Why not invest in a good carport out of steel or building one?

I don't see that thing being stable under extreme weather. Many places here in FL that don't have garages at least have carports.

Well, number one money. I have a kid in college, a 10 year old and a mortgage. Im unmarried so im the only income in my house so for me its financial. But also where I park my car I don't have much more room than what this shelter would offer. My main concern is acorns and snow. With a round roof the snow will shed right off, I did my research from other people who bought this. In a huge hurricane like storm, id move the car somewhere lese anyways. Acorn, rain and snow protection is what I need.
