Tires Needed for Daily Driver

Time for tires again, I've yet to actually wear a set of tires out completely on this car, usually a pot hole does them in or the side walls wear out (they get extremely noisy when they have 30% or less tread left).

I currently have a set of Michelin Pilot Sports 235/40 ZR-18 on it now, since I have lost so many tires to pot holes I have a set up front that are a few months old and a set in the back that are at 25% but they are literally flying apart (tread blocks are hang nailing off or gone).

Aside from the early wear these tires were quiet, good in rain and good in snow all of which are important to me with emphasis on something quiet.

I'd like to hear some opinions on what y'all have on your DDs and what adding two new tires to what I have on the front and plan on keeping will do.

Tire Rack seems to have lost some of my previous sets of tires but I know it came with Pirelli PNERO ZEROS which again got noisy early and I seem to remember a set of Dunlop SP Sports which I must have disliked for some reason.

In for quiet tires.

If you want quiet tires the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus (yeah the name is kind of weird) has been getting great real-world reviews on TR and on sites like bobistheoilguy.com. These will be a little more mild-mannered than what you have now.

I had a daily that I put Potenza RE970AS tires on and they were excellent however I only had about 20k miles on them before I traded it.

Both of my current Acuras have Michelin as the OE and they're very good although they're pricey. I think only the MDX will get Michelin replacements (even though that has the most expensive tires, the Latitude Tour HP is really good).

^^ +1 for the serenity. had this on the wife's 2.5rs and they were quiet.

ps2's are surprisingly quite, but its there mulit compound thread that makes em weak. they need replacing every 3 years. kinda stupid and annoying.

How quiet? Was it like driving on pillows?

I love these tires, I have had 2 sets on my Camry. They last about 60k miles depending on how you drive. I have always bought them from discounttire since they offer free shipping. I need another set for my Camry so ill be placing an order soon.

Looks like the TRZ are out of stock everywhere.
