These guys are just .5 miles from my office.
If you use them I'd be happy to help in any way I could.
I always see mobile wheel repair guys at the local auto dealers. Maybe stop by and see who does the local auto dealers repairs for them. They likely contract it out.

I ended up taking them to a small auto restoration shop in my area. It is a small job for them, and they are not cheap. They do first class restoration work. I have a high degree of confidence that when the wheels are done, they will be very well done. They have been stripped and primed. Paint next week. Won't be long.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I have done both. Powdercoat is a bit more durable. With paint it is much easier to get the color you are looking for. Both produce excellent results. I think that powdercoating generally results in a thicker film which softens the edges and mutes the details a bit on the wheels. Paint looks a tiny bit sharper - I suspect paint has a slightly thinner film thickness.
Also, there are some who believe that the typical powder coating process, which involves high heat baking, can cause unseen internal structural damage to lightweight alloy wheels that can weaken them and impact safety. I'm not sure what to believe on that. But, if you search, you will find a thread or two with discussion on this.

al is a super colorful guy, But his work is absolutely top notch. Just as important, the guys he hires take their work seriously, I'm always impressed by how well the square me away whenever I need wheel work and I make sure to tip them accordingly.
Its hilarious that 'Al's hubcaps' is the place that is most often slammed with wall to wall exotics.
