Winter Insurance on S2k yes or no
Interested to know what you guys do for the winter season.
Me, I garage my s2k at my parents but drop the insurance to Liability
Having NJM they don't allow me to take her off since still registered even though I have another car.
Every other year and car I have been able to cut the insurance and put it back on full coverage in spring.

Are you located in NJ? If so, you may get more relevant answers in the Metro forum.
People here surrender their registration and cancel insurance for the time the car is parked and reinstate it in the summer after registration.
Some of us lower insurance coverage through the winter months. You may still want to keep insurance in case your garage caves in and there is damage to the car.

In Connecticut, I cancel the liability coverage and the collision coverage but leave on the comprehensive. That way, if the car is stollen, vandalized or burns up in a fire, I'm protected. I don't reduce the deductible.
The annual policy cost difference is $971 vs. $165, but in reality I save only about $350 because the reduced coverage is for only 4 or 5 months (depends on how Aashish schedules spring and fall drives!)

I tried to change my insurance but because I don't "own" the car outright, I needed a note from my finance company to the insurance company saying it was OK.
Since it's only 3 months of non driving it was not worth the headaches of dealing with two large companies trying to get them to talk <sigh>
Plus being parked in the back of the house it's not like it's really safe in a garage.

I usually turn in my plates and drop it to comp only, but this year switched insurance and it was only going to save me $100. I figured not having to deal with the DMV twice was worth the $100, so I left full coverage on it.

While my car was financed, it was too much of a hassle to cancel the insurance. Honda had a fit when they heard I was taking off collision and liability...even though the vehicle was off the road and the plates surrendered. It just wasn't worth the hassle.
Now that the vehicle is paid off, I have the DMV store the plates, then I remove collision and liability, leaving only comprehensive on the car. I save about $300-$400, depending on how long I store it.
