It's actually worse to start it and just let it idle.
Honda specifies to start the car monthly and run to operating temperature -- fans cycle twice. But what the heck would the factory engineers know

So, you are saying you can't long term store a Honda or it will blow up because the car was not started up "monthly". Interesting.

Having trouble reading? The 14 words are still above your post so I shouldn't have to repeat them.

But just in case, here they are slowly...

Honda ... specifies ... to ... start ... the ... car ... monthly ... and ... run ... to ... operating ... temperature ... -- ... fans ... cycle ... twice.

And if you don't do it, does Honda say what happens?

Good thread

I'll be driving the car once in a while around the block but other than that it will be sitting under a cover for the most part with some of the tips provided for added measure.
