By June 22, I'll be working really hard to save my marriage and avoiding bankruptcy - both at the same time!

My current plan is to be at on-track junkets April 6 (Lime Rock), April 9-13 (VIR), April 24-26 (Pocono), May 1-2 (Lime Rock) and June 19-21 (Thompson). That all assumes that the MGA holds up.

I finally got the call from the body shop yesterday after noon that the car was done. I bolted out of work early and headed over to the garage to drag the trailer out of the snow bank. Luckily I had taken the truck out of the barn while the ground was still frozen but I wasn't so lucky with the trailer. I had cleared the snow last w/e but I forgot about the MUD that was going to be surrounding the trailer parking area.

I got it hooked up and made some nice deep ruts on my way out of the yard !

The car came out surprising well, I have been lucky in that some young kid works on the race car, he seems to have a passion for it. (he loves to drive it in and out of the shop). I always try and spend some time with him to review his work, he did all from a picture I gave him of how the car looked before the rear fenders were butchered to put fender flares on her.

I made tracks for Jake's garage where the engine transplant will take place. We also have several other things going on, replacing the drive line including axles and diff, I plan to reuse clutch, pressure plate and tranny, all of which were new late last summer. I ran 3 races on them so a total of 6 track days and maybe 300 miles. They should be good for another season or two of abuse.

Next phase will be get the new motor back from Quantum raceworks. The block and head are still at the machine shop in Conn, the plan is to take a trip over on Friday and pick them up. Once back at the shop, Stevie will need at least a week to assemble the new engine. That should give Jake some time to rip out the old engine and get the #59 ready for the transplant.

It going to be a busy spring time....I hope to make the 4/6 LRP date with SCDA.

Jake works like an Amishman on Mountain Dew.
It'll be ready...
