I am sure he will be in that garage helping you every chance he gets......at least until he gets his driver's licence.

And so begins the next chapter of the S2000_59 chronicles.

They all have to start some where.

There will never be another RED #59, it was a legend in its time.

The silver paint is so nice on this car that it will most likely be the new color, with some carbon parts and a black roof.

But you never know, a lot can happen during the build phase.

BTW - I was supposed to be leaving for Florida tomorrow to begin the 2019 SCCA Majors Championship at Homestead.
Wrecking the car changed those plans so I will have to watch the race from home.

I am STOKED to see this car! Very excited to watch the build process on this! Are you going to replicate the setup you had on the red car Greg?

I have no firm plans, so it will be up to the lead builder aka "JAKE", he will be the project lead on this build - I am just the bank and adviser.

If we look back over the years as we developed the car, it went through many phases since 2011.
2011 - caged, JRZ shocks, Yokahama slicks, Hardtop
2012 - 1 attempt at super chargers and the engine blows up. I finished the year with b/u engine from Jake.
2013 - rebuilt engine by Synapse Turbo (Steve), Novi 1000 SC
2014 - Novi 1200 SC, StopTech BBK, many upgrades to suspension, cooling, brake ducts, Hoosier slicks, Carbotech pads.
2015 - New NA motor from Quantum Raceworks, Penske Shocks, Quaife LSD, 4.3 Diff, STU class specific changes (fenders, weight box, wheel size).
2016 - HKS super charger
2017 - Paxton Novi 1220

Jake was the one who put together the main components of the car(in 2014), that Paul and I took to the Runoffs at Daytona in 2015. I know many of you watched and waited to see what the little Upstate Gang could do against the big race teams at Daytona. We did the best we could and in the end the car held up all week and finished well, ahead of many of the big teams. Over the next 2 years the car went thru some moderate changes with 2 different super chargers.

We have made a lot of lasting memories with that little Honda car, they will last me a lifetime. I only hope the new car can live up to the challenge !.

This is going to be like the old days when I used to do the track days back to back to back.

Friday - Instructing at Palmer Motorsports Park for Porsche / Audi event.
Saturday - Instructing at Thompson for SCDA
Monday - Instructing at Lime Rock for SCDA

I am sure I will get plenty of laps in on the Atom.

Here is one of me in the Atom at Palmer on 8/23

Phil ....he was driving his E30 with the S52 motor.

That’s a busy schedule for sure. I’ll be at Lime Rock with the Patroon guys. If you decide to leave your car at the track on Saturday I’ll probably be there.

If I had more vacation time I’d probably take Monday off and instruct at Lime Rock too.
