Default Aaaarg!

Coming back from work, east bound on the Irondequoit Bay Bridge... Right after the bridge, at the Bay Road exit, saw State Trooper, V1 laser alarm goes off... You know the rest. Got me 81 in 55... This is gonna hurt. I was in my Maxima, imagine if I was in a S2000.... Here I thought my July 2000 ticket will go off my insurance soon, now, comes another! DANG!

Anyone need to attend the defensive driving course (or whatever it's called?) maybe we can meet up?

oh dood, I have seen them sit there sooooo many times. so sorry...they always carry the damn laser too...

Don't feel bad, I've been driving all day in the city and saw at least 5 state poopers and 3 city cops... they are all out in force today getting their quotas...

State troopers r the worst. In NY they come out of nowhere. Here in Cali u can see them from miles.

Just came back from the laundromat and had time to think. That stretch of RT 104 is 3 lanes wide. The trooper was on the right shoulder and I was in the left lane. That creates a big angle and introduces a big Cosine Effect error (I've read about this before CopRadar.com ) and I'm going to fight this one out. She (the trooper was a woman) says she clocked me twice, 81 than 74, well my V1 laser alert went off ONCE. Plus, I could not have been going 81, that's insane - PM rush hour.

Wish me luck

Hey Jeff - thanks. I am definitely going to court on this one. It's on Tuesday 4/9 in Webster. I'm going to be very cool headed and reasonable. No, this wasn't a "Good" Friday for me...

Incidently, I've decided to post a tips page on avoiding getting caught to the Off-Topic section. I've accumulated quite a bit of experience over the last 1.5 years using the V1, reading all about traffic radar / laser (it's usage, limitations, etc...). V1 saved me many times, but this time was pure ambush! I'll do that later when I get some time.
