I remember Michael's time in F1 well. I was working with some fellow workers from Europe and I remember telling them that he would do great in F1. They didn't think so and I ate a lot of crow. Mansell took Indycar by storm, which made F1 racers look like a level better than any Indycar drivers. His Pops Mario won at all types of racing, but you had people saying that was because he was born in Italy so he really wasn't American. It would drive you crazy.

They talk of the use of computerized active suspension and that was 25 years ago. Imagine what they could do today if the technology was allowed to continue. Drivers wouldn't be allowed to touch the wheel, they would basically be used as ballast!

Todays paper has an article about Kimi. In the article they mention a name change for team Sauber to Alfa Romeo Racing

Yep. He’ll still be driving a Ferrari powered car.

FIA Race director Charlie Whiting passed away. He leaves a big hole to be filled for the sport

Really liking the new point for fastest lap. I think it really brings out the competitive side of the drivers and can make the end of the race a little more interesting.

Still surprised Ferrari didn't let Leclerc pit and take a shot at the hot lap on fresh tires, but I guess after seeing all the teams having issues in the pits, they didn't want to risk losing position for just a single point.

I really like Leclerc. He seems to have his head squarely set on his shoulders. He was faster but decided to ask the team if he should battle Vettel or hold position. When he qualifies ahead or has better race pace I hope Ferrari do the right thing by him. There wasn’t much to be gained yesterday so I can understand why they asked him to hold station.

Also how about Red Bull HONDA? While the first race is usually no indication of what will come later, all the Honda engines finished the race.

I think for the lap or two that Max led the race before coming in to pit, the announcers said it was the first time in something like 15 years that a Honda-powered car was leading an F1 race. Glad to see their powerplant is finally competitive.

So - I`ll come clean. I`ve never watched an F1 race.
I did however, watch the Netflix series on the 2018 season, and I`m definitely more interested in it now.

In one of the scenes (i forget which episode), there's a driver (i forget which) walking with a woman who says "the car is in the trailer". Then a shot of them unloading a street car out of the back of the truck & there was a honda badge on it.
The next scene is inside the car, looking at the driver while he's driving, and the sound is incredible!
Anybody know what car that was, based on my horrible description?
