Default AP2 Soft Top replacement advice

I'm looking for advice about soft top replacement on our 2007. I have spent some significant time reading posts on this forum about the subject

I bought a replacement soft top from an ebay seller last summer that had a deceiving ad that looked like the top would be a Robbins top. It turns out that it is actually an EZ-On top.

That being said, I've got no experience replacing a soft-top.

I am fairly mechanically experienced, but a little gun shy about stripping the top. My brother-in-law had a top installed on his BMW Z3 by an inexperienced installer last season, and I don't like the fit.

Does anyone have advice about either the actual installation of an EZ-On top or an experienced installer anywhere in upstate NY? I am willing to drive anywhere within 200 miles and possibly leave the car with an installer if necessary.

I'm in Binghamton and the only local installer wants $1200 to do the installation which is why I'm considering doing the install with my brother-in-law, if I can't find a more reasonable price.

Thanks for any input

Send a PM to jsenclosure. He has replaced several tops and has a good reputation. He may be cheaper too. He is located in Albany

I can vouch for Jake's work when we replaced my clutch a few years back. He does excellent work and you won't be disappointed.

Bump, hahah.
