Thats a great pic Mark. Good image to use to explain the concept of contact patches and weight shifting between them

Jim Garry shared a link on FB. I hear the Seneca Army Depot has been secured as a site for next season. I should make it out there.

I was talking to our Solo Chair at the last event and he said it looked promising. I guess the rent is on the high side and they wanted a commitment to a minimum number of events, but if all the regions get together, I think it can work. Maybe we can get a National Tour again.

Great day at Xerox yesterday!. Fast, somewhat open course that you had to read correctly to find the right line. One really fast, long sweeper that required a combination of aggression, courage, and faith! I finished 3rd overall raw time behind a Lotus Elise and a 125cc shifter cart and 4th on PAX out of 121. One of my strongest finishes this season. If you discount the first two events when I ran on old tires and the rainy night event where my run group never got a dry run, but the other group did, I've averaged better than 6th on PAX. One event left, hope I can go out on a good note!

Had a good day at the last MoHud event yesterday. At the end of my first heat I had Sean beat by a fraction on raw time. In his second heat he went on to bang in an even faster run. I watched this run. He was so smooth that it looked like he was going slow, but then the timer doesn’t lie. Sean has been sublime all season long and is well deserving of being the fastest S2000. So I had a 23.7 to beat. I had a 24.3 on my final run from the first heat. It was a clean run but they had some timing issues and once they cleared that up I had a cone called for that run. Phil R didn’t think I hit a cone nor did I.

In any case there was was no point arguing and I decided to do my best. The first run of the second heat was slower but then I banged in two runs on a warmer track both in the 24.3s. That was all I could do with the RS3s that are a season and a half old and have seen heat cycles from track days last season. Hoping to go to a square setup next season on the current tires du jour to see if I do any better. Here are the results:

Wow! 20 second course? That would be frustrating. You need to make a trip to Seneca next year. Yesterday's Xerox course was 48 seconds for me and very fast.
