Welp, it had to happen to somebody sooner or later in this area - too bad it was me.

Coming home last night after having to run into work, decided to stop off for some KFC. Turned onto Penfield Road at Panarama Plaza in Penfield to get home (~2.5 miles away), got 100 yards down the road and a young lady pulled out from the plaza to cross the road to the pizza joint directly across Penfiled Road. Said she never saw me (who says these HIDs are bright??) and I could see she never looked back to verify she was safe. The ABS was working fine but I needed 10 feet or .5 second. The right front kinda slid under her bumper, hitting the license plate and up over the first foot of the hood. Headlight's intact, car's driveable. New hood and right front fender, plus plastic nose piece more than likely.

SHIT!

Can't figure out how to insert an image here but I have a couple of shots in my photo album in my profile here...

I'll make sure it's her insurance that pays. I don't see how it could possibly come back to me.

Sorry to hear that...could be a good time for a CF hood, if you like them.

Awww man that sucks.

I've had that fear everytime I enter a parking lot, people just get thinking (or lack thereof) of something else and don't bother to look around.

And get the insurance to pay for the Mugen hood

That sucks.....these are exactly the kind of accidents I'm afraid of. Good luck with the repair.....New lightweight hood sounds cool.

Nope, no CF hood. Too much money for no real advantage, not to mention bumping me out of stock class for autocross.

Hope to have the insurance companies getting into gear today...

Jeff, Sorry to see and read about your little adventure!
Who are you getting estimates from to do the repair?
Over the years I have heard nothing but glowing praise from people who had there cars/trucks fixed at Dorschel.
The body shop is behind the Toyota Dealership down the little road next to the telephone company building.

I was contemplating Holtz doing the work. The body shop is apparently in the Porsche building. Whoever does it, I want it done right...
