Yes they are but i converted mine with a Boomba racing throttle body and throttle cable from an 04 WRX and then my tuner did the rest.

Its the between shifts that i notice it. its like the car is making sure i want to mash the gas that hard before it goes. ya know what i mean. I'm sure most people wouldnt notice it. but i do and i dont like it.

i think that would more be the clutch delay valve.. i don't have an AP2, so someone else can chime in... but my guess would be that, not the DBW.

Ah.. didn't know there was such a mod.

Delay between the shifts is due to the heavy AP2 flywheel & CDV. Once you remove the CDV & upgrade to a much lighter FW (like an AP1), there will be no perceived delay.

AP1 FW 14lbs
AP2 FW 22lbs

It wosnt really a mod it was kinda something i wanted to try that worked out in my favor lol.

The boomba racing throttle body is awesome well constructed and works flawless. If you use the Throttle cable from an 04 WRX it mates up perfect so no need to get a custom cable or anything like that. And believe me when i say it will make a hell of a difference when you are autocrossing or doing scca courses.

What is the mod i can do to get rid of the CDV? do i just remove it or is there a CDV delete? and does the Ap1 flywheel just bolt up or do i have to swap anything else?

AP1 Fw bolts right up... i have a Science of Speed Ultralight weight (7 or 8 lbs i think) and i love it. i also have a centerforce dual friction clutch. i love the combination.
