CR Wing install on a non CR trunk
#11
For the CR wing im not entirely sure. There are markings on the far edges of the trunk but they will not be of use since the cr wing mounts are more center oriented. Measuring tape and pencil may be the way to go. Does the CR wing have 2 studs per mount?

Nope, it is definitely 399$

thats what my upgrade to 3rd party hosting from Photobucket comes to.
If you know of how to do it cheaper, I'm all ears

Ok so heres how I would do it. Measure the width of the trunk and mark the vertical centerline of the trunk(pencil it in). Then position the wing as far back as you prefer and then mark a horizontal line. Then it's a matter of marking your mounting points (making a template helps, especially with wing stud location) And drill baby drill. This is how I mounted and installed my hood vents. And it worked out well. Penciling everything in helps when measuring before final drilling.

Inspired me to put on the wing trunklid and take some pics.
the key is locating the front studs/(bolt holes-where my fat finger is pointing) so they fit evenly in the radius where the inner trunk skin isn't. The rest fall into place.
Don't forget the other cr reinforcements as the thing is heavy and the skin is thin. It'll also move side to side if you don't put in the wedges.
Pics to follow.

Now I noticed there's like an extra piece of metal where you were pointing to Jeff. How did you get that in there? Or is it just a piece of metal that you put in place? This is starting to look like a project I don't think I'm going to be able to handle without taking it to a professional or a shop to do it. And without specific directions no shops gonna want to handle it especially if they have to drill holes. My only bet is to get a hold of someone who's put one on their car and see if they would be able to do it for If not I'll see if I can return the wing or sell it.
