Hello Brad, I'm thinking about attending this event, but I'm definitely a newbie to full size track events, would a novice driver (such as myself) be welcome to get his feet wet at NYST?

Edit: I did some reading and it looks like I should just see if I can get the time off from work
I remember reading about the NYST while I was out west, it'll be a nice drive with the track only about three hours away from me. I'm enjoying exploring the parts of NY I haven't seen yet.

Hey Saving,

Yes, this would be a perfect opportunity for you to get your feet wet on a full track. There will be others doing their first track day also as this is one of the few tracks in the NE that allows you to run without a roll bar. Hope you can make it for a fun filled day of tracking S2000’s! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you!
-Brad

The idea that Brad's event has a free raffle and, better yet, a give away has me stoked. I just couldn't pass it up.

I signed up for this HPDE at the New York Safety Track on May 18th. I was attracted to the event by the promise of a raffle and a "give away", but it was the free lunch that sealed the deal. Reserved slots for 45 S2000s, so it may be quite the event.

Those of you who haven't gone to this event, you need to know this is like a family event of S2000's.

Just a great day to be on the track with other members

I hope to see you all there

Long term weather forecast for the area has high temps in the 65 to 75 degree range, partly cloudy to clearing, 26% chance of rain.

I probably don't have enough to do.
