I like the aftermarket motorcycle turn signals on the Vortx. :) https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...2a7f99d805.jpg |
After almost 15 years, 73K miles, and hundreds of autocross events I broke down and upgraded the brakes on the S2000.

The OEM rotors are still in great shape with no ridges, grooves, or obvious wear. I probably could have scuffed them and reused them. |
Why am I under the impression that you upgraded the pads and rotors last year? Or perhaps you posted about this as a to do for this season. I hope those Ferodos don’t squeal like the HP Plus. |
Do the brake lines too. They're old.

I swear our S2k's are twins (except for the amount of autocross events). Same color, year, mileage and now similar brake wear. I replaced all my rotors and pads with oem about two years ago and steel braided lines. I sure miss those original ap1 pads and their initial bite, the civic pads that replaced them do not share in that characteristic. Oh well, recently had my original rotors machined for a spare track set ( purchased track pads also). Shop I took them to said there is plenty of material left on them. They did an excellent job, even bead blasted the hats, they look brand new. Can't wait to swap them on and bed the pads for the track event at NYST.

I'm curious. Why did you go with the Civic Si pads? I know they are the same size as the S2000 pads. Were OEM pads not available? |

The pads are different part numbers from Honda. So I assume the material is different. I noticed they’re the same size when I looked at Hawk HP Plus pads for the S2000 and realized that Hawk had the same number for both cars. Are the AP2 pads different in size or is it just the material? and apologies in advance if I’m derailing your thread :hidebc: |
