Ok, its been on my mind for a little bit now.

Anyone on here who is a gamer (be it Xbox or PS3) and likes racing games has to know about the Gran Turismo 5 release date of November 2, 2010.

I've already reserved my copy of the game at a local Gamestop store located in Mohawk Commons, Schenectady.

However, I had a vision of possibly holding a small gathering of cars, like ours, but it just doesn't have to be limited to S2k's, parked out in a parking lot nearest the Gamestop store at the midnight release of GT5. (this is if Gamestop is doing one, but they probably will)

It doesn't have to be at the Gamestop where I reserved mine, it could be at like the newest Gamestop in Latham Farms, Latham just off of Rt 7 and I-87. That particular store is the newest in the area and also the biggest.

Any thoughts?
(of course if there is snow or salt on the ground then obviously most S2k's won't be out for the remainder of the season)

Hmmm. Well pretty good answers and I definitely understand the far-away owners would be difficult to make it out.

I will get in touch with Gamestop, particularly the Latham Farms location, and check to see if there will be a midnight release of the game.

If it goes forward with planning a little car-gathering/meet (not a car show) in support of the game then it will be mentioned here or most likely a new thread.

Also, it would be on a worknight, Monday into Tuesday ordeal, so I figure anyone that shows up should do so by around 10pm. More to follow...

Well for the diehards waiting for this game to be released, I have some unpleasant news.

GT5 has been postponed until roughly 8-12 days after Nov 26th (Black Friday). So probably Dec 7th is my guess.

I don't know at this point if the S will still be out, its possible, but not definite so as far as what I was planning, it will probably not happen.

If any other news comes out about an earlier than Dec 7th release date I'll post it up here and make plans accordingly for a possible midnight sale/car-meet.
