There is no way in hell I'm giving up the color war...
I too think those pics do an amazing job telling the story. Even from that elevation you can see how populated and beautiful it was.

One of my friends whose parents stay in Southern India (Trivandrum) lived 3 miles away from the sea, when all this happened, the sea came as far as half a mile away from their house before receeding. Talk about luck! Can you imagine the power of nature 150,000 + casualties in about 20 mins? Certainly puts things into perspective of how insignificant human life is .......
