Does anyone know if i remove the entire airbag system will the light go on? If the light does go on is there a way to keep it off with the airbag system removed?

Next steps are removing the airbag system and the A/C. Why would i want to remove those components you ask? Well, I'll be caging the car and installing 4 point harnesses so the factory airbags will not be needed. I am removing the A/C because i never use it. After all this is a convertable, i shouldn't need it in upstate ny seeing as we only have a couple of very hot days each year. I never use the A/C in my other cars anyways, I'd rather have the windows down. Plus, it will let me clean up the engine bay a little bit and lose a little bit of weight.

Got a friend home from wyotech for a couple weeks, he is going to rework my fenders next week so all i will need for body is front and rear bumper covers at this point.

John, good info. Thanks for that, I shot you a pm about your airbags. As far as everything you said, that's what I plan on doing, I will look into the 6pt harnesses over the 4point. Only reason I had not originally thought of them is because I don't like to be strapped down and have it riding up on my junk. I'd love to see some pictures of your car.

Well i am unabe to find a way to remove the air pump without throwing a cel but i did find a guy to sell me a broken one so i can use the cover off of it.

Heading over to the shop tomorrow to throw the new hood on and also ordering atleast the front bumper cover. A friend of my roomate was over last night for a party we had and he told me he worked for acura. Apparently he can order honda parts at 30% below cost so he's going to call me up tomorrow and i'm going to give him my list for pricing.

Been felling great about the car since it came back with a straight frame and everything has been moving along with good steady progress thus far. Excited to do a little work on it tomorrow, i will probably be removing the airbags and the a/c tomorrow as well. Also going to bring my camera, take pics, and sell what i don't need.

Re-think the air conditioning.
I use mine all the time, even with the top down.
You'll thank me later...

This isn't a daily driver for me. This is just going to be a fun and fast, street legal car. I have a brand new Tacoma as my daily and I never use the a/c in it, I also have a r6. Heat doesn't bother me. For something I won't use I'd rather just lose some weight, clean up the engine bay, and sell the parts.
