Jake's rebuild thread

You made yours a lot prettier than I made my old amp rack. I pretty much just drilled a hole through a sheet of wood for the spare tire bolt, then mounted my amp to it
Now I just stuff my amp above the gas tank. No overheating issues.

i tend to drive pretty agressively so everything i build i try to make sure it's 100% secured and not going to move, wether it's for me or someone else

I was about 5 miles ahead of Jake when I thought he was hanging with another group...
He caught me 2 miles further down the road...!!!

Actually, wedging the amp in above the gas tank only happened because I switched amps. My old RF amp I was running would have slid around.
The JL Audio amp I switched to wedged in just perfectly. Glad I switched too - I would have been high and dry in the middle of Nowheresville, PA when my tire blew out if I hadn't put that spare back in.

Haven't added anything here in a while so i figured i would post up my winter to-do list. Last year i was fortunate enought to tackle about everything on my list and i hope to do the same this year.
-finish up the c5 speaker install and JL amp/amprack
-Siebon MG Hood, painted berlina black
-ap2 front bumper, with fender liners
-ap2 oem front lip
-Add A/C with the ghettocrx ac reloaction lines
-AEM ECU or Hondata with a tune from Evan's
-3" pulley for Sc with belt
-Installing the 1000cc injectors i've had sitting for the past year
-Installing a cb antenna off the rear tow hook location
-Installing the cb inside the cabin, I have a nice Cobra 75 WX ST i have from my truck
-Coilovers
-New rear tires
-weld the a-pillars to the cage with some swiss cheese plate
Cb radio will be for a rally i'm planning on doing in August of next year. It's the New England Rally. I've been wanting to do this one for some time now and with my experience with a couple of subaru rallies it really gives you a nice advantage to have a cb. Both to talk with other drivers as well as truckers to spot cops ahead.
