Ill be following this since it was a big step up in my life. I will be back into an S2k in the spring time and I will always be an S2ki member. Looks good so far. I really didnt want to see someone part out this car and make it never to be driven again.

Of all things, definitely replace all the tires on the car. From what I can tell, the front, left side looks shot, and the rears look like they've seen better days too.

The most important thing about any car, in my book, is ensuring the part that touches the road is taken into careful consideration.

If you're on a budget then I believe Aashish knows of some excellent tires from, I wanna say, Hankook. :ponder:

I prefer Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's. (the RE-01R is no longer available although those tires gripped very well and maintain a decent treadwear for the money) The RE-11's are a tad bit better in my opinion.

Car looks like fun to me too.

I work next to a hankook distributer and get cost price, so yes, tires are coming. The tires on there now came with the car, 3 are shot but it makes for a good rolling chassis at the moment.

I think i am going to powder coat the wishbones (control arms) first, replace all the bushings, get a bumpsteer delete kit and then do tires and allignment.

Any recomendations for new bushings and bumpsteer delete kits at a reasonable price?

That is cool. As you keep participating on here you will find that some of us are avid Hankook fans. So dont be surprised if someone asks you to help them out with getting tires :LOL:

I mentioned the tires only because we have seen several cases on S2ki where inexperienced drivers have lost control of their S2 and ended up in bad accidents, one where the car flipped over.

Tires are so important on this car but can be pricey depending on what you go with.

1 more thing to mention, since your model is an AP1 F20C:

Going back to the main page on this site and reading about the cracked valve retainers due to overrevving, it had me interested since mine is a 2002 F20C. I have overrevved my engine a few times and now I'm considering pulling the valve cover and inspecting the retaining area for any cracks from this (valve float). If you have the time and patience I would recommend you look into yours as well, especially since your car has over 115,000 miles on it. It can't hurt.
