I've been on a job search for the last few months, and I am starting to get pretty stressed. I have years of IT experience, and I love the field -- so I would like to stay here. I'm located near Ithaca, so anything in the Ithaca or Syracuse area will probably work. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm a hard worker with a strong work ethic, so I will not make anyone look bad.

Thanks,

Anthony

ever think of relocating ? I've applied from across the world, the U.S. and its even worse in toronto area in canada.. ive been scouring for over 1 year and nothing.. lots of interviews, headhunters calling..but nadda, zilch.. I'm thinking of leaving the industry all together if this downward trend continues in 2006. I would employ the uses of mulitple head hunters. It requires lots of time, planning, scheduling but may get you somewhere ?

Yeah I have thought about it, but I would like to stay in the area. My family, gf, and friends are here. IMHO, it's all about who you know -- not what you know.

Don't know your area of expertise, but have you checked IC and Cornell? I see where IC has an opening in IT (check online via Human Resources). Best of luck...

Yep, I've checked Cornell and IC. I applied for a position at Cornell two weeks ago or so. I haven't really seen anything at IC, but maybe I missed the one you are talking about. I'll check again. Thanks!

If you would consider moving to NE Ohio we are hiring. Need heavy Microsoft skills.
