For a less expensive option with great tread wear the V12's are great. I'm running them on my Subaru for the summer months.

Continental Extreme DWS is a good tire.
Just put these on the TSX. Haven't had them long enough to form an opinion yet, but they had good reviews. Discount Tire Direct was cheaper than Tire Rack for the TSX sizes.
I have them on our Mazda 3. Been on there for 15k miles, awesome time year round. I'd put them on the Pilot of they made them in the right size!

I just looked at my tires - they are Cooper Zeon Sport A/S.

Most of my driving to work is flat and straight highway driving. I don't really like the idea of getting only 12000 miles from a set of tires but I do want to enjoy the ride. My current tires lasted about 30000 miles but I figure what's the point if I hated those 30000 miles.

I don't do autocross or go to the track but it does sound like fun. Is there any place around the Albany area to do that?

I appreciate all the feedback!

I don't know how people get such great mileage out of tires on the S. I don't think I have ever gotten more than 12K miles out of a set of rear tires. Although, I've heard the AP2s do better for some reason.

The above are great for driving on street and some spirited driving. Decent on track as well if you do the occasional autocross or track day.
After a lot of research I just bought a set of Continental Extreme contact DW (not the DWS). DW = Dry & wet, DWS = dry, wet & light snow. They just came in yesterday, I'll let you know how they work out soon. Based on all of the reviews and tests they seem to be a great tire for the money.
p.s.
Also got a new set of wheels

If you want to do autocross, check the MoHud SCCA schedule. MoHud had two events scheduled for 4/20 and 4/21 at the OGS Parking Lot off of McCarty Ave.

As far as tracks go, you can run at Lime Rock Park (hour and a half from Albany) or Watkins Glen (3 hours from Albany). Groups that welcome the S2000 in stock trim are NASA NE and SCDA.

I've been eying these myself. What specs did you go with? Are you lowered? Can't wait to see pics.
