New s2ki member
Hi everyone.
I've been reading s2ki regularly for a few months now, but just now became a member of the site. I became interested in the S2000 around August 2001 - about 6 months after purchasing a 2001 Maxima SE. That was my 1st manual shift car I've ever driven - got hooked and now am hooked on the S2000 :) . I test drove a S2000 at Holtz (2002 Suzuka Blue) and could not believe my senses!!! It was really funny, because the sales lady didn't drive a stick shift and didn't know too much about the S2000 and the whole time, she was saying how nice the S2000 was while I was driving. Well, because I just got a car a year ago, it just wouldn't be the right thing to get another :D even though I have the money... So I'm going to wait until 2005 before I get the S2000. My friends asks me why not just trade in the Maxima... Nope - I need a "conventional" car as well. Just can't see driving the S2000 everyday - especially in Rochester's winters. |
Welcome.
Don't let people yank your chain about trading the Maxima and get the S2000 right away. I tip my hat to you for planning ahead for a 2005, I'm sure there will be an upgrade by then because I just don't believe Honda is going to cancel the car like the original rumor of a few year production run. I fell for the car in '95 and am getting an '02 in April, so I know all about the wait and save. Good luck, your welcome to ride shotgun sometime with me! |
Hey cool :) Shotgun seat in the S2000 sounds nice.

My pleasure, any excuse to go for a drive!
As soon as warmer weather hits I'm sure the Upstate Region is going to get active with get togethers and such. I'm thinking maybe one of the best first time activities would be a meet for lunch or drinks in the evening at the Cannonball Pub. Testut and I think that might be a good "halfway" point for several people. |
