I think the chrome grille looks better. HOWEVER, the body-colored grille is exclusive to the Pro-4X, and distinguishes it from the front end of the more plebeian versions of the Frontier (like mine), and I don't think a body-colored grille is available on vehicles with similar front ends, like the Pathfinder or Titan.

I say keep the body-colored grille, even though I think the chrome one looks better.

Red - I'm not a big fan of chrome on new designs. I think they belong on the older classic designs.

It's a mystery, Marc sort of gets the problem, I'm in a quagmire here

I agree with Jeff and Aash, I like the red, however, it has some drawbacks
My truck is a 2009, new grille shape and headlights
The new grille shape is specifically how the center of the grill actually cuts down into the top of the bumper to make it visually bigger
It also made the truck look less lie it was smiling
The problem is though this is sort of lost because the red grille blends right into the bumper as they are the same color
I added the chrome grille just to make that feature stand out more
Now I'm not sure I like it anymore and keep wondering about the red grille hanging in my basement

This shows what Nissan has gone and done, made a truck with a chrome grill and body colored front bumper, this has copied my once unique look, but they have not given it the body colored rear bumper

Chrome, breaks up some of the red, too much red with the body and the entire front end all being red.

You are being too hard on yourself, you have a GREAT truck!
I went with the PRO-4X because it was the only way to get as many of the great features the Titan used to have
I still fell short on a lot of nice stuff, but the Frontier PRO-4X was many, many, many thousands less than the Titan SE 4x4 I had
