Default Too quiet in Upstate NY...

The snow is here, the cold is here, the roads are salted, and many S2000s are in the garage under their blankie.
Like I said, it is too quiet in Upstate.

I'm hoping to get back on the road tomorrow. Too much slush and crap to do it today, even after only 4" on Sunday. Don't need that kind of "excitement" to liven things up...

back in the days when i went to school in ithaca, all the snow that fell up there really made for beautiful scenery. since i didn't have anywhere to go but classes, i didn't mind not driving around in my 92 civic si.

however, i can realize the frustration of owning a stook and not being able to drive it for extended periods with the extra snow you guys get up there. you guys seem to have a great community up there and when i visit ithaca in june for my 10 year reunion, hopefully we'll get to meet up. hopefully by then, all the snow will have melted...

Check out the Glen Region SCCA web page (http://www.glen-scca.org/) later on this year to see if an autocross is scheduled for your visit. Out-of-towners are always welcome...

Thanks for the AutoX link Jeff.

Oh, by the way, I stoped on Saturday at Holtz Acura, they have a 2000 S2000 Silverstone/Red on the lot and I was curious how much they wanted. I got to chattting with a long time contact of mine, Joh Cull, and your name came up. What a small world. So Jon says hello.

Anybody interested in a used S2000?
Aprox 25,000 miles, 4 new tires, Black Chrome option, looks to be in great shape! Holtz Acura, 716- 385-5544.

Jon is a great guy. Back in the early '90s I had my track CRX-Si serviced there, he always took care of me that is for sure. The Silverstone S2000 on the lot is the car he has been driving for the past year or so. He put Kumho street tires on it (what a surprise) and has it parked out front. Actually I was glad I stopped to see it. This is the first time I have seen the Black Chrome option in person.
