Stupid question.. The ebrake is up right? Lol! Just wanna rule everything out! Could be the module. Go under the dash on the passenger side.. u should see a white plug.. Make sure it's plugged in. U can unplug it and manually move the top up if u need to.

lol of course the e-brake is pulled and actually I did check that white plug as well. had the center console pulled apart earlier in the day to do some radio work and had all the those plugs (top, hazards, defroster) unplugged so naturally my first thought was I didnt plug it back in or didnt plug it in tight or something but I pulled it back apart and checked it as far as I can tell everything is where its supposed to be. hazards still work and defrosft switch was lit. stumped. e brake light on dash is lit when pulled so I know that switch is still working sooooo??? wtf

On the later ap2 models the plug for the hazards is the same plug as the soft top, make sure you didn't switch them accidentally

have you checked the hardtop safety limit switch? It's on the left hand side near the brushes and prevents the soft top from operating when a hard top is fitted.

I believe i have an extra soft top module you are willing to try if you're going to be over this way to get your fenders rolled, however, i doubt this would be your problem as it was working before the centrer console was removed. Then again, electronics just go bad all of a sudden.

if your car ever had a hard top check that switch as well, good point made by earl

Just looked for that switch.. can't seem to locate it. is there a pic in the owners manual? I'll look. but it seems like it would have something to do with me pulling the console apart. well once I eliminate this safety switch I'll go back and look at the console area again it was dark last night when I checked it maybe I missed something although I did unplug all those plugs and plug them back in so that I knew they were tight.
