So rumor has it that a certain very well liked member that was a track junkie and after blazing his way to instructor, moved to warmer climes, is planning a visit this summer preferably to do an event on track with the group.

Hey A 2, any news on a track day at Watkins Glen this year would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on attending this year but I need to schedule time off from work as soon as possible.

Andy, the SCDA event at Watkins Glen is July 15 and July 16. Aashish & I have already discussed and plan to go - although I'm sure we haven't registered.

That feels like a nice segue into a Track Days 2019 Thread

Andy - as Jeff said its an event on both our calendars and I already put in for time off at work as soon as SCDA announced their calendar. I am not going to ask Elivan for a group discount this year as I have in the years past. Last year, it was just three cars and its frankly not encouraging to ask him for one when there is no interest from the S2000 community. As and when you are ready to sign up though, let me know and I will talk to Elivan and see if he can extend a discount to you. There is an early bird price in effect right now and I think any referral discount that I can get will be on top of that.

I think Disgruntled needs to twist the Osprey's arm into starting a new track days thread

I got a magnet in the mail with SCDAs 2019 track schedule. There was a note on the magnet to use coupon code SCDAMAILER for $30 off.
Every little bit helps, right?

^ It does. Didn’t think about that. Andy you can use that code and further put Jeff or me in as a reference. They usually give you $50 off of your next event, but if you are interested and registering, I can ask SCDA if they can apply it to you for Watkins Glen.

Thanks guys. The 16th is my youngest's birthday, but we'll probably celebrate that weekend. Or I might just do one day. I'll have to hash out the details with the wife and work, but I'll make it snappy.

From an SCCA email I just received about the Time Trials event they'll be holding.
  • Got a group? We certainly are not above giving a group rate for those of you who travel in packs. Whether it’s an official club, or a SCCA Regional Program, or just a bunch of buddies who all cram into the same hotel room and share a passion for the same fast food chains- let me know who you are, how many you are and we will see what we can do.

Any interest for the July event at Thompson? (July 5th and 6th)
