I just looked at a few laps this morning.

What about a wider line entering under the bridge, and a wider line entering the far turn in the oval. Especially in the far turn in the oval, I think a wider line may be a tad faster.

In the third video with Seamus riding along I do take a wider line under the bridge. Need to go wider still I think.

Oval also needs a wider line at the far end. Tried it but not consistent

The car is where it is. At full boil I’m sure a better driver (say Mr. Seamus) could probably get it below 1:30. I’ll work on it. It was warmer in the afternoon too and the car tends to do better in cooler temps and then there was Shiv’s nemesis

see I’m already making excuses so I’m halfway there

Okay, so I’ll need some of you guys to sign up for the Time Trials event at Thompson. The event is July 5th and 6th.

The cost of the event is $250. And you will have to rent a transponder for $20 if you don’t already have one and a weekly temp SCCA membership of $15.

That adds up to $285. You get six sessions on track over two days plus a track sprint session (three timed runs with a start and finish).

Because im helping them with some promotional activity, they’ll be giving me a discount code for $50 off of an entry. That reduces the cost to $235 for two days on track with parties at the end of each day with legal beverages included.

Just as a comparison, a single day event with a group we like is $389 at the same track. For $235 (less if you’re already a member) you get 180 mins of full track time and three track sprints.

Full disclosure: for any person that uses the code and registers at a discount, the SCCA will be crediting $25 to my entry for the National event in Kentucky. I’ve asked them to set this aside as a TT scholarship for any other member from the region that would like to attend but for whom cost is a factor.

^^
I know that you want me!

I know that you need me!

I know it would be fun!

But they picked "divorce dates" for the event.

Could I just send you $25.00?

Nope. It’s not about $25. It’s a genuinely great program from the SCCA and I think you of all people will enjoy it.

So please sign up and show up. You can leave early on Saturday after setting one timed lap if you don’t want to stay until the end. Planning to have my two girls also join me on Saturday.

Too bad the 1st day is July 5th @ 8am as many people have plans for July 4th.

As long as you get them from a company like Schroth, the snap in ones are still SFI spproved. you do have you make sure the anchors are securely mounted and have backing plates, but they work. Its what yours truly uses .

Love that camera angle Aashish. As I expected you drove like Professor Swami, and the car looked hella planted as well. Not gonna lie when I saw my nemesis I might have yelled at obscenities at my computer. Next event is in July right? Is an engine reflash allowed for the class?
