Dave Nicholas borrowed my car for the Collier Cup at the Glen in September, 2025. He was running mostly 2:44s with a 2:43.6 in lap 8. He was hitting between 102 and 103 mph on the back straight and about 95 mph on the front straight.

 

Just got around to watching this video. It was very generous of you again to offer him the car, but I wouldn’t expect any less of you.

as quick as Dave was he was very respectful of the car I felt, keeping off of the curbs and being very gentle. Gentle enough to win that is. Nicely done.

 

I like how Dave gives the car a reassuring pat at around 14:11 coming out of Turn 6 and coming into Turn 7. I'm sure the car did need reassurance as it hates Turn 7, having spun there before. It wanted to kick out at 11:49.
