The Upstate Beer Thread
Saw a thread like this in the backlot and figured it would be a good one to start here. We have a wealth of local brewers in Upstate NY so if you try something new or want to share some recommendations do it here.
The Wegmans closest to my house has a craft beer section and I am always cruising through looking for something new to try. This past weekend I grabbed a sampler 12-pack from custom brewcrafters and one of these:
It was really spectacular and had the richest flavor of any chocolate stout that I have had, but it was also extremely heavy. My friend who was over is not a big craft beer fan and he did not like it. But I LOVED it. Also, since a 1pt 6oz bottle is $7.50 I don't think I'll be drinking it very often.

DAYQUIL & NYQUIL here
I've had this terrible cold for the last couple of weeks and it is only now showing signs of waning.
Had a Sam Adam's at a friends house weekend before last, is all.

The last growlers I had are listed below, bith were very good. I have had a lot of Scotch Ales in my time, and CB's is one of the best, as I like very peat single malt scotch.

Custom Brewcrafters Scotch Ale is very good I agree. The 12 pack that I got was 6 Scotch Ales, 2 EPA's, 2 Canandaigua Lake Ales, and 2 Cream Porters.
I haven't had the EPA yet, but the others were great.

And as we have talked about Custom Brewcrafters, if you are ever looking for a good lunch or dinner, in Honeoye Falls right near the falls is a little bar that serves incredible food, the place is called "The Brewery" and they have a bunch of Custom Brewcrafters stuff on tap.
