A couple of quick fun facts from the morning news I had on while getting ready for work:
- This is our first all-day sunny day since March 29th.
- Of the 19 days so far in April, it has snowed for 14 of them.
I love winter and all, but even this is getting to be a bit much for me.

I want to go on record that a S2000 engine can be swapped into an MGA. They laughed at Galileo too!

I really like the A in the second link. Maybe we can get Jake to source an engine for you to put in the MG at some point.

Supposed to be nice here too, sunny and 53. Hate to say it but now we need rain to wash away last weekends salt from the roads. The weatherman says today will be the first day in the last 11 days with no snow!

Saw some muscle cars out yesterday enjoying accelerating in a straight line. Need at least another shower to wash the salt residue off. Then I can start thinking about awaking from hibernation.

I'm exhausted. I'm sunburned. And my wallet is much lighter than it was a week or two ago. But my new-to-me AP1 is home safe and sound, and I couldn't be happier.
I flew back down to Richmond, VA early Saturday morning, met up with the seller again, put my new plates on the car, and headed about 10 miles up the road, for an oil change, new tires, and an alignment. The ones on it were mismatched (S02s on the rear, some Bridgestone all seasons on the front), and I had no idea how old they were. So despite them having plenty of tread, I figured it would be prudent to get them swapped out. Glad I did, because the tire shop checked the date codes, and told me that the fronts were made in 2009, and the rears were made in 2005. Yeesh...
After I was done at the tire shop, I stopped by Best Buy and picked up an Alpine receiver, and installed it (and a Modifry DCI) in the parking lot. That was an easy, 10 minute job, thanks to the Modifry harness. And then I hit the road for NY! Stopped by my hometown in the southern tier to see my folks on the way home, and hit some of the back roads that I used to go bombing down as a teenager. That's about the time I really fell in love with this car, and now I really understand why they have such a cult-following. I finally got home late this afternoon, and gave it a quick wash, inside and out. And then, pretty much collapsed on my couch.
Snapped a few quick pics after I washed it, in case anyone wants to see it: https://imgur.com/a/Ej3M4Iw
So... when's the next Buffalo-area meetup?!
