I was wondering what happened to you. Good luck at the time trials. Drive fast but safe.

Default Best of Luck my Friend

Just remember to bring the secret sauce that I gave you the last time I was at your house, I put it in the trunk of the BRZ.
You have all the knowledge from the years on track, now all you need is a little luck.
Make sure to tell your competition that you are an INSTRUCTOR.....some mind control never hurts !!

Thanks Jeff, Paul and Greg for the encouragement. Definitely helps with the slight nervousness as this is the first big event I’ll be going to.

Stopped by at Semir’s weekend prior to last and had some maintenance done on the car. Decided to go with the RS4s I’ve had since late last season. While these tires aren’t brand new with some luck I should be able to set a good pace. New tires in the size I want are sold out for the season and I didn’t want the Bridgestones.

Bridgestone will have support at the event and if they are selling tires I may just bite the bullet and get a set of tires installed at the track. Apex Pro will be there and are offering limited data coaching and I’m hoping that will help.

Will keep you updated as I go along. Plan to drive to Erie or Cleveland tomorrow and spend the night with the rest of the journey on Thursday. They have a track walk on Thursday PM that I hope to attend.

Remember at some point it is about driving the car. Data collection, coaching tires etc are all pieces of the puzzle but the full picture is driving the car. Remember that and have some fun!

That really put things into proper perspective. It’s just another track day and you’re correct about having fun.

Left home at 1 pm yesterday and stopped in Medina, OH at 9:30.

Aw, you should have let me know you were passing through. You would have been in my parts just in time for dinner.

This trip should give a good feel for all the lonely hours/miles I traveled in the 4 yrs of racing and HPDE.
Its a mind game, just like your race will be so don't over think..

Hope your travels went well today
